MENDITTOROSA

Perfume House
Identity System

Mendittorosa’s perfumes are often inspired by the catholic culture and medieval folktales. To fit their brand aesthetic, I elevated Mendittorosa into an art status by picking up inspirations from the medieval catholic alchemists. As an artistic Italian perfumer, Mendittorosa creates scents to ignite souls, they are storytellers, and they embody fantasies through their artistic visions.

The Logo ︎

This logo tells the story of perfume making, the red circle (fire symbol from medieval alchemy culture) placed underneath the leaf motif is a representation of fragrance extraction. The weights and edges of the logotype and logomark are both heavily inspired by ancient Pictographs.

Poster Series 1 ︎

(Self-directed photography, stylings all created and done by Andy Lu.)

Inspired by stigmata (in Christianity, are the appearance of holy bodily scars in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ, such as the hands, wrists, and feet), this series of posters tell the story of how our scents unite and become one with our body and soul to serve as talismas to our customers.

Poster Series 2 ︎

(Self-directed photography, stylings all created and done by Andy Lu.)

This series of posters are the true representation of our brand, showcasing the rich textures and the gradience of gold in an artistic way.

Perfume Box Design ︎

Each of Mendittorosa’s perfumes has its characteristics as if they are alive. The colored oil and water in the circular dish device mimicking flowing blood drops represents the “extension” of different DNAs.

Postcards Design ︎

Inspired by medieval alchemy symbols, these motifs on the cards tell the stories and concepts of each perfume.

ArtSpace ︎

(Collaborative artspace with Japanese artist: Chiharu Shiota.)

For the past designs, we all focused on the idea of perfume entering our body and being one with us, but why not reverse it? Now, we are entering the magical world of Mendittorosa.

Individual Showrooms ︎

(Collaborative artspace with Japanese artist: Chiharu Shiota.)

Each showroom is inspired by the most important aspect of Mendittorosa: the artistry of perfume bottle design.

Interactive Installation ︎

(Self-edited soundtrack and motion.)

Igniting souls through your own hands. Let’s create magic together. By touching the sensors hiding in the red balls, a visually strong and powerful motion piece reveals. The motion piece will be conveying the brand’s mood to the audience.
